The short answer

Every Bridger hat hides a scripture reference inside the seam, invisible from the outside, chosen for the character of that specific hat. This page explains the verse, the coin on select styles, the giving program, and the build standard that makes all of it worth carrying.

Complete scripture with full citation, hidden where only the wearer knows it is there.
Chosen for the hat
Twelve styles, twelve different verses, each matched to the character of that hat.

Complete. Hidden.
Chosen for the hat.

When you buy a Bridger hat, there is a verse stitched inside the seam of the crown, invisible from the outside and invisible to anyone watching you wear it. The verse is complete: the full text of the scripture and the full citation, not a chapter-and-verse pointer you would have to look up somewhere else.

Every style carries a different verse, chosen for the spirit of that hat and the person it was designed for. The Homestead carries Ephesians 4:32 (ESV). The Timberline carries Galatians 6:9 (ESV). The Ledger carries Joshua 1:9 (ESV). The Carpenter carries Philippians 4:13 (ESV). Twelve styles, twelve different verses, each one matched deliberately. For a closer look at how the mechanic works and which hats carry which verses, see hats with Bible verses inside.

The decision to hide it matters. A verse on the outside of a cap is a statement. A verse on the inside is a reminder, and those are different things. The man who wears a Bridger hat is not wearing it to tell you about his faith. He is wearing it because the verse means something to him, and he knows it is there when he reaches up and adjusts the brim at the end of a long day, or takes it off and reads it on the way out of the truck.

A verse on the inside is a reminder. The man who wears it is not wearing it to tell you about his faith.

2  /  The coin on select styles

Forged in Faith.
Guided by Heart.

On select Bridger styles, the Bridger coin is set into the cap itself: a metal badge stamped with the mantra "Forged in Faith. Guided by Heart." mounted on the hat, part of the build, worn every day.

The Homestead carries the coin. The coin is confirmed on that style; the full list across the lineup is being finalized.

Every hat has the scripture. The coin is a second layer, for the styles where it fits the character of the build.

3  /  The giving back

Built to give.
Hats for Heroes.

Bridger is built to give back to Hats for Heroes. When the store opens and hats begin selling, a portion of every sale will support the organization, and receipts will be published when giving begins. No per-hat dollar figure is claimed because the total is the more honest number.

The store is not live yet, so giving has not started. The commitment is made and the partner is named.

4  /  The build

The verse is only worth carrying
if the hat earns the right to be kept.

A verse stitched inside a hat that falls apart in one season is just words on a thread. The materials Bridger uses, duck canvas, corduroy, camel felt wool, waxed canvas, and performance technical fabrics, are chosen for a hat the wearer will still want ten years from now, with a crown that holds its structure and a sweatband that does not break down from the inside. Twelve styles, $49 to $79, with a lifetime build guarantee: if the construction fails, it gets replaced at no cost. No questions asked.

For the man who is hard to buy for, the verse inside makes this a different kind of gift. What to give the man who has everything.

The family's hatmaking heritage runs more than fifty years deep. That lineage is how the build standard gets set, and the standard is what makes the verse worth carrying. For more on how the hats are built: the full build guide.

5  /  What this is not

A hidden scripture reference.
Not a keepsake in a box.

Not a chapter-and-verse
A reference number is a pointer to something you would have to look up. Bridger puts the full text of the verse on the seam.
Not a statement hat
The verse is invisible from the outside. He is not wearing it to tell anyone about his faith.
Not a hat that gives out
A verse inside a hat that fails in a season is just words on a thread. The lifetime build guarantee is part of the promise.

The Carpenter Peanut Butter is the clearest example of this mechanic in the line: The Carpenter Peanut Butter carries Philippians 4:13 stitched inside the seam, and the crown says what the verse means without saying the verse itself.

A note from Garth

Bridger started as something I needed long before it became something I built. It is for the men who carry more than most will ever know.
